Gateway confirms that Intel-only policy sucks:

Golly, I didn't read any statements from Gateway that indicated that. I do, however, seem to remember that Gateway cited high overhead costs for supporting two separate platforms, so given their level of sales I would expect a higher COG and reduced profitability if they hadn't ditched the excess baggage.

Of course, what was that company that has the highest growth rate... pretty much at the expense of every other PC manufacturer... Oh yeah... DELL... what's their CPU supplier model again?
