Neocon, Doctor Detroit was OK, and I really enjoyed John Candy's humor. I didn't know he was from Canada.
I once talked to a young man that worked on the Jeopardy show. He was one of those people you see milling around the contestants just before final jeopardy. He said that Trebek was always yelling at everyone, demanding insignificant things to show his power, and overly cursed a person that made the slightest mistake. Also, at one time, he was giving his Mother a birthday party at a popular steak house, among the locals, in North Hollywood. Once he came back into the bar to get a refill for his drink, on the sly I suspect, and when some of us greeted him, and complimented the show, he just said that he didn't have time to talk to a bunch of bar flies. That one I witnessed for myself. Even though he is a celebrity, and is a busy man, he was rude to the max. |
