It would appear that before the Hungarians became a Steppe tribe, they were coming from Siberian areas.

I am no anthropologist. But if I may venture a guess, their migration probably began about 10,000 - 8000 B.C. It is believed that about this time, there was migration across the "Land Bridge" into Alaska and down into N. America into Central America and into South America. No wonder some folks (dreamers, if you like) like to believe the Indians of North America descended from the Lost Tribe of Israel.

BTW, it is interesting that some Chinese experts have suggested that the Chinese learnt the art of jade carvings from the Mayans !!! If that's true, then the ancient Chinese succeeded in traversing the vast expanse of the Pacific or the Mayans had somehow reached China. This would not be so incredible if there actually once existed a continent called Lemuria in the Pacific before it disappeared beneath the waves.
