By Vince Welch, Sports Director

[WIBC News] - The Indianapolis Colts have not yet issued a statement, but WIBC and wibc.com Sports Director Vince Welch has learned that Jim Mora is being relieved of his duties as the team's head coach. A formal announcement is expected from the Colts later today.

Mora was hired in January of 1998, succeeding Lindy Infante. At the time of his hire, Mora became the Colts 3rd coach in 4 years.

In four seasons at the helm, Mora won 32 and lost 32. The colts were 0-2 in the playoffs during his tenure.

Mora is the fourth coaching change in the NFL in the past two weeks. Mike Riley was fired by the San Diego Chargers on December 31st, Dennis Green was fired by the Minnesota Vikings on January 4th, and George Seifert was let go Monday by the Carolina Panthers.
