Global climate and temperature cycles are the result of a complex interplay between a variety of causes.

Your article is another example of what we call "data mining". This kind of article is produced by running a computer through massive databases and picking out the bits of trends or evidence that support a preconcieved notion. The real tip off is that it is so long, has such pretty charts, and each one is on a different type of evidence. The bulk of the evidence is ignored but article tries to impress the reader with it's length and volume of pretty graphs. It's junk. Then the junk is sent to a team of graphic artists and prose writers who try to make it sound like it's tied together.

The second tip off is the one liner quotes with no context from a variety of sources. Pray don’t talk to me about the weather, Mr. Worthing. Whenever people talk to me about the weather, I always feel quite certain that they mean something else. - Oscar Wilde . Out of context quotes are easy to come up with.

When you look at the article and notice all "science" claims such as CO2 that goes into the atmosphere does not stay there but is continually recycled by terrestrial plant life and earth's oceans-- the great retirement home for most terrestrial carbon dioxide. are bogus and not attributed so they cannot be checked, while completely unrelated political claims such as Even if the theory of global warming is wrong, we will be doing the right thing -- in terms of economic policy and environmental policy." not only are attributed, the author get's several post quote introductions to establish that he is some kind of Ted Turner liberal not to be trusted. You really should be quite ashamed of yourself for getting taken in by another of Scaife's literary cartoons for the uncritical thinker.
