Excuse the delayed reaction, but I just have to say the idea that faxes are incompatible with DSL lines is nonsense. For just about a year now, I've had a Westel Wirespeed DSL modem attached to a Linksys router sharing a line on which, on the analog side, three separate dialup modems, including two that serve fax software, have alternated trouble-free for almost a year now. (Using FaxSTf software--both v. 6.01 and v. 3.2.5--on various Macs.) Also, never had any trouble either w/ setup (unassisted) or provider (SBC). Just could be lucky, eh?? I don't think so...
