Xilinx Receives Lucent's Impact Supplier Of The Year Award
SAN JOSE, CA--(INTERNET WIRE)--Jan 08, 2002-- Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ: XLNX - news) today announced it has been selected as Lucent's "Impact Supplier - Supplier of the Year" for 2001. During Lucent's recent annual supplier meeting, Jose Mejia, president of Supply Chain Networks at Lucent, presented the Xilinx team with Lucent's highest honor for a supplier. Xilinx was selected for the award for helping Lucent shorten product development times and reduce the cost of delivering next-generation solutions through the use of programmable logic devices.

Under Lucent's Supplier Relationship Program, Lucent and its suppliers collaborate on cost-reduction initiatives and design, share technology roadmaps to provide access to newest developments and often dedicate co-located, on-site resources to one another. This provides both parties with valuable insight into the ever-changing demands of the industry and enables them to drive toward mutually developed business goals.

This was the first time Xilinx was nominated for Lucent's "Impact Supplier - Supplier of the Year" award. Xilinx was selected for the award out of several Lucent strategic suppliers, including a cross section of component suppliers to logistics and distribution providers.
