I've heard of the reaction to nuts that you have, but not of the allergy to melons ....

shellfish, when I overindulge, will cause me some distress along those lines ....
but ...
seeing as how I'm a fattie,
it takes a BUNCH of shrimps or crawdads or lobsters to affect me as long as I only imbibe once every couple of weeks ......

but, that is interesting bout the melons .....
as in honey dews, cantaloupes, and watermelons?
