Jeff: Well, now ... FBN can outsource the work ... why didn't I think of that? With all the work being done by outside vendors (and, it would have to be more than just ALYD, because I expect to have hundreds of clients), I could even spend my pre-Year 2000 days in the Caymans. Wouldn't have to wait until all the work is done. Yeah, I like it.

Great idea. You interested in joining our company? We'd put you in charge of Marketing. Or, if you wanted a more important job, you could be Vice President in charge of Paper Clip counting. Whatever you'd like. I believe a happy employee is a productive employee.

I already knew all the answers to my question, as I've visited the ALYD site many times. I was hoping somebody else might support my environmental concerns. The following statement comes from the URL you posted. >>It is important to note that the compiles will not be consistent with an MVS compile.<< That's what I was talking about. They have emulated an MVS compile, so there could be (and most likely will be) variances between the two. As soon as you do something other than what the standard environment compiler does, you're exposed to gotcha's. Maybe insignificant ... maybe huge.

Just additional food for thought. Remember, I'm a world class technical skeptic. I hope ALYD's solution works hunkey-dorey fine. I own a piece of them.
