That happens alot but I think it had to be done by her mother before she got into the home. I am not sure what the rules are but I have heard many people talk about it. Most of my relatives have bought long term care insurance to protect against it ( and that includes my husband and I ). If you buy it when you are relatively young then it doesn't cost too much. We bought enough insurance so that we could be cared for in our home with the money going to a care provider instead of a nursing home. We don't want our kids to be making any decisions that would adversely affect us in order to keep their inheritance intact!! LOL No one will have to worry about anything with the policy we bought!! My kids are good kids but whoever can tell what will happen many years down the road.

What a world we live in.
