If global warming isn't dangerous,
As I have written before, it's not that global warming is dangerous that is the real problem. The folks in Buffalo N.Y. or Newfoundland may enjoy a little warming. I'm not sure that the equatorial dwellers will notice a few degrees in temperature. The real problem is that world wide the infrastructure is geared toward the local weather. Houses, roads, crops, trees, insulation, customs, and wildlife are all geared toward the current weather patterns. It costs in money and effort to adapt to a new weather pattern. It costs a whole lot of money and effort for the whole world to adapt or move or rebuild infrastructure for a new weather pattern, new coastlines, and shifting environment. When the deserts come a lot of people won't adapt, they will move, and the people who already live where they are moving are not going to like it.

were at one time free carbon dioxide gas.
The critical measurements for us is not whether there was carbon dioxide 4 billion, or a million, or 10 thousand years ago. It's whether there is more and more each year now.
