Now I know you're a trader, but you are trying to appeal to QCOM investors using investor criteria. I think its intellectually dishonest.

not sure what you mean by "trader". i haven't purchased or sold an equity in almost a year. i haven't even owned any equity mutual funds since like July or August (although i just took a small position in a REIT index fund recently). aside from private equities, i have been nothing but bonds and cash for months, mainly short-term and intermediate global and US AAAs and govies.

whatever i say about QCOM in terms of valuation applies to almost all large-cap growth stocks imho. in a nutshell, my opinion is "all the risk, none of the reward". i can get mediocre returns on bonds and sleep at night; or i can get mediocre returns on equities and have tons of volatility (best case scenario) or suffer a massive correction to the point where expected returns regress to the mean or below (worst case scenario).

i choose to sleep at night! my guess is i'll wake up one of these days and be able to buy equities at reasonable prices, but if not, the expected returns tell me i am not missing anything.

cheers!
