Surely, if this concern can be anticipated, the trial will be designed to answer those questions up front. e.g in addition to the Placebo leg, have some subset of: V1 leg V2 leg V1 + V2 leg V1 + B leg V2 + B leg V1 + V2 + B leg Where V1 is Vaccine 1, V2 is Vaccine 2 and B is the drug being examined in concert with the vaccines. Hopefully restraint will be used in adding unnecessary complexity, time and cost to these trials. Sure hope we get an effective FDA leader soon.... Ian
