Bald Eagle, That fact is becoming clear to me now, but I thought I should give him the same "benefit of the doubt" as I would offer to anyone else. All I want to do is participate in civil discussion consisting of pro, and con, opinions. As I said, everyone is entitled to their opinions, and anyone is entitled to agree, or disagree, with those opinions but I have found that some people consider their opinions to be fact without the benefit of proof. That detracts from the quality of the discussion.
I asked him, kindly, without rancor, to provide proof of the statement, or to say that it was an opinion. I see no reason for him to react in such a snide manner, unless he considers himself to have been caught with his hand in the cookie jar, so to speak. |
