AMD has never before had such a strong product lineup across all performance ranges and with 2 years of Athy success under its belt is now the seasoned competitor in the microprocessor arena...P4 remains unproven by comparison and, 2 years out, in the face of the XP wave, might find itself relegated to the museum shelf...

"Mark my words, my call is 20+ $."

If the market climbs aboard the XP and if q3 conference call paints a positive outlook going forward (both highly probable evebnts, imo), I, too, don't think it'll take long to test $20 once again...

"Niceguy, I guess you think that Wall Street can't predict AMD's future, either, since they seem to see AMD staying in the "red" for quite some time."

You're ignoring the possibility that INTC may be at the precipice of accelerating losses, losses which could easily dwarf those of AMD if P4 doesn't fly...

AMD's product lineup is second to none including INTC...The P4 honeymoon period is fast closing and as far as I can ascertain, INTC has zero in the wings in case, as early indicators suggest, the P4 does not live up to INTC/OEM expectations...As mentioned earlier, AMD has an established product lineup built around the remarkable Athy architecture as evidenced by AMD increasing market share and arms length accolades and awards bestowed upon it over the past 2 years...Yes I do expect the two year trend of AMD architectural gains vis a vis INTC to continue into the foreseeable future and with these gains I do expect AMD market share to continue with its successful incursions into INTC's market share...I could purchase INTC at these levels but my money is being placed on AMD owing to, what my analysis suggests, its superior product lineup and vastly greater potential once the P4 ball, now that the honeymoon is over, falls to the ground...

This market has taken no prisoners...but come on, eh...single digits for AMD...Little bit oversold I think even you'd have to agree...

As for the P4, won't be anywhere near 20 million units this year...A lead balloon, it seems!

Finally, my personal favorite.

Despite all these mispredictions that you have dredged up, AMD keeps gaining market share and keeps bringing superior product to the marketplace...You're right that something doesn't quite add up...and that something just might be INTC's claims of success associated with the much ballyhooed fastest rampup in company history of the P4...20 million units in Y2001...Joke!!!
