fwiw, I've seen the same thing. However, it seems that e-trade's auto-confirmation merely spits back to you whatever limit price you specified, regardless of what price the trade was filled at. The key thing is to check your on-line account activity, which posts after midnight and could have a completely different (i.e. lower) price.
