I don't see the logical connection between your comment and what I said. Do you disagree with what I said? I think almost everyone agrees that you can make a lot of money when there are no competitors. It's pretty reasonable that Intel wants to weaken AMD so that they can return to historical profit margins.

FWIW, Intel did not make lots of money in 2001 relative to the past when they had only weak competitors. The 2001 per share earnings will be $.48 according to Yahoo, which is quite a drop from the $1.70 that Intel earned in 2000. This can be blamed on the ill-advised price war started by Intel, which was a total failure.

You work for Intel, don't you?
