So what's making silver run? Speculation from moi.

I don't think it's any accident that silver started making its run right about the time the Euro was being launched (ok, a month off). The Chinese have announced their support for the Euro, and one might see World Dollarization begin to fade.

In the end, it might not be any one speculator putting the squeeze on silver. We've speculated on and off for years that the physical supply would one day run out. Maybe that day has come.

If silver goes ballistic, have to think that gold won't be far behind, the dollar goes splat, and the interest rate derivative empire of good old JPM hits the skids.

Not original thinking, but the pieces sure look like they might be lining up.
