Thanks for the info. It is just one more in a dreary series of stats that speaks to where the economy is heading.

Incidentally, just spotted the IDC stats for global PC sales this past year and they were down big.... not just in revs, but even worse, in unit sales. Virtually the whole analytical crowd called for sizeable growth in 2001. I think there were only two analysts who called this right at the beginning of 2001.... Hickey and some crackpot called "Earlie". Three cheers for superior results obtained from "grunt work" vs computer diddling. (g)
