As an analyst pointed out, an important feature of the new iMac is that it shouldn't be that hard to increase the LCD size.
I bet we'll see an upped end 17" iMac before the end of the year...
As usual, the hype far exceeded the goods. Apple has made solid new product introductions over the last few years (ibook, G3, titanium powerbook, OS X), but to take market share away from PCs they are going to have to do better than that.
Perhaps if they rolled out in rapid succession this year it could happen:
iPod, windows AirPort, flat iMac, larger screen PB, faster G4s, iWalk, first G5s, photoshop for OS X, some other software surprise for OS X, Windows iPod.
