You think they built $2.25 Billion worth of motherboards, after having been told there were only chips for $1.8 Billion worth of them?

Or do you think they didn't bother to ask first?

They wouldn't make boards for AMD's early Athlons even after AMD assured them that the chips would be ready, they waited until the chips were in hand. I can believe that they'd trust Intel that the chips would be ready when promised (and, by now, AMD too) but I don't believe that they built the boards without first asking, nor that they built the boards after having been told there would be no chips for the boards.

We'll just have to each come to our own conclusions from what we know.
