According to Yahoo news, the suit alleges that the prospectus for the offering back in June '96 had "materially misleading financial information."

The company "feels the allegations are without merit and intends to vigorously defend against them."

I bet it evolved from the restatement of new store openings. Since the figures were restated retroactively, someone who bought based on that financial statement saw overinflated figures.

Personally I think suits like this are a waste of everyone's time and money. So far there doesn't seem to be any effect on the stock. Still staying around 17.
