Byzantium? Nah, that became obsolete after a while when those Lemurian guys found the secret of turning base metals into gold. Gold was so common then that it was taken for granted! No wonder latter-day ancients had so much gold to work with, eh? even though they didn't have the technology to mine so much rock to get at the gold? No need for the written word either! No libraries! All communication was perfect by telepathy and intuition! Every Tom, Dick, Harry, Jane and Jill was perfectly honest! They had one all-encompassing library though --- the so-called Akashic Records ! But it is not in the printed form as we know it. Wanna visit any part of the world or universe? No problem ! Teleportation superior to Star Trek's "Beam-Me-Up" technology was so easy that even a child could do it anytime. Oh, and by the way, they foresaw Thor Heyedahl's inconclusive voyages.
