Interesting that among people who like OSX, like me, there are so many who dislike the one real show off item: the accursed Dock.

What they should do is construct something like the application switcher. Give it two preference abilities: 1) small icons ONLY so it can take up a minimum of screen real estate 2) give it the ability to bring a app to the front with one click, while at the same time hiding all other apps.

And put the trash back in the corner on the desktop where it belongs.

I doubt they'll do anything to the dock though because it's their baby and it's become a point of ego.
