Slacker,

<< Pictures of the 6340....nothing spectacular, but it will sell at the right price point. >>

Thanks.

That is about what I expected it to look like, and it is a perfectly acceptable "look" for the Americas.

The e-wallet is a nice feature for a little "sizzle".

It is a great addition to Nokia's product line and I think it will be marketed aggressively by the carriers migrating from IS-136 to GSM.

It is unfortunate that Qualcomm doesn't have a comparable CDMA/TDMA/AMPS model as it attempts to "flip" the remaining carriers that will migrate to either GSM or CDMA.

BTW: I just saw a UWCC brochure that addresses GAIT and it points out that the Siemens model we've been expecting forever and which should be out shortly is not a true GAIT phone but actually a "dual-technology" model. I guess the distinguishing characteristic of a true GAIT model is the AMPS functionality but I'm not sure.

I'm assuming you made it to the Nokia Sugar Bowl?

Forget who won. How was New Orleans?
