I read this differently than you did: He says that "having the large PC system unit hidden under the desk isn't a big deal for me, especially since it gives me easy access to multiple USB, serial, and 1394 ports, something the new iMac doesn't offer."

You interpreted this to mean that he doesn't know the iMac has multiple ports. I think, rather, that he somehow thinks it's easier to access those ports under his desk than atop it. Either way, though, he's dead wrong. And his complaint about not being able to hook up a second drive is nonsense as well. You can hook up over 300 drives if you want. Some USB, some Firewire, even some SCSI through adapters if for some reason you prefer slower transfer speed and stability.

The bottom line? Unfathomable nonsense, masquerading as unstomachable tripe.
