I agree, I also think CSCO's share price action in the heyday sold many routers and switches for them...bay/nortel, xylan, and cabletron had better products in many areas. I would rather have sold other brands because they were better and easier to configure (CSCO's products were patched togehter from acquisitions and there was often not a uniform command line) but CSCO gear was much easier to sell, was often asked for specifically, probably because the it managers saw its chart on CNBS 17 times a day and all owned shares
