Could be the Fusion merger and other merger speculation is driving some of the activity. The price to book ratio for a lot of the companies in this sector is pretty low since many of them went public and did secondary offerings during the last big up swing and are sitting on a lot of cash. I own FSII which has a book value of about $10 and is selling for $16. You could buy this company for $400 Million today. They are sitting on $90 million in cash and have three divisions all in separate new facilities. Nice deal for a leveraged buy out or a break up. If you wanted just one division, you could buy the whole thing, take the cash, spin out the other two and end up with the part you wanted for free. They also own nearly half of their distributor which is worth maybe $100 m and doesn't really show up on the balance sheet.

What a deal!
