Yeah, but think about how many things you think about and imagine during the course of the day- if one or two didn't occasionally come true, it'd be against the odds. However, sometimes that one is so shocking or startling that it makes one think that they've "predicted" the future.

Also, the human mind is sometimes unconsciously insightful... you may unconsciously notice warning signs for something bad about to happen which lead to a premonition of something that does come true.
