Sig, Hi!!
RE: Considering a break-out -lets look upon it as easy Intel has 172,304 strike 30 Jan(02,03,04) puts outstanding representing 17.2mm shares, plus 93,272,193 shorts These are the perma-bears -down on technology, down on chips, down on computers They may be getting real worried with Intc ranging above 32 (except 2 days) since Nov 27 th. And Intc is now up to 35 They should be thinking of rounding up the camels, striking the tents, and moving on out. No need to worry about pseudo-bears- they will get discouraged on one bad option expiry. When Intc goes up, Dell will follow, so all we have to do is wait a bit.
Glad you are keeping track of these things... :o) But, I'd be concerned about DELL if I was shorting it...Quite a few times here it's popped above 30 with still a month left in the quarter...CPQ is making a profit? Yep, and what was DELL growing at when the others weren't? 10X the industry rate after Q2 and 7X after Q3...Can't forget that this will be the first quarter where DELL has been selling switches... It may not be much but then again 20% of the current business requires the switches they are offering...How's the EMC agreement doing for business? Couple of nice things that could impact the earnings... Dropped one time too many for me below 29 so I bought some more during lunch...
