you ain't never gonna buy nothin'. historically, that has not been the case. as for the strong market, it's just a bear market rally imo. many people were up big from the rally but were down big on the year. i had a pretty good year myself, and i was only in the market for half of it. as BUFFETT says, there are no called strikes in investing. and i can be patient. the indexes never got close to cheap during the selloff. when i run the numbers on certain much-beloved stocks, i find the prices people are willing to pay quite amazing. some day i expect they will be fairly valued again. but even if that doesn't happen, i don't think there's much to miss, except danger. like i said, imo, "all the risk, none of the reward."
