Sam, Sorry for the delayed response. Other priorities have kept me away from the thread lately. Yes, I'm still holding my 1/3 short play (short AMAT 5,000 shares averaged at $43.79). It was looking pretty ugly yesterday when AMAT touched $48. I feel much better tonight here at $46. In any case, to answer your question:

"Is excessive loss aversion causing you to hold short positions overnight against your better judgment?"

Yeah, probably... that and ego... (but who knows, maybe I'll get lucky again).
