i had a pretty good year myself, and i was only in the market for half of it. Hmmmm. I thought you said that you "haven't purchased or sold an equity in almost a year". Unless you were short I don't see why you would have found compelling bargains in the first half of the year and none at the Sept lows. the indexes never got close to cheap during the selloff. when i run the numbers on certain much-beloved stocks, i find the prices people are willing to pay quite amazing. IMHO you confuse theory with reality. Unless there's another major terrorist attack, I'd say the odds of the Nasdaq dropping below its September low are darn close to zero. Hey! I'd bet money on it.
