It is OK for small countries like Ecuador and El Salvador to "dollarize" as it doesn't cost them much to do so. I understand that the tourists bring in the dollars and there are enough $ bills to go around.

Although Cuba has not dollarize, it is using US$ as if it has dollarized. Again, Cuba doesn't have to run the printing press. The $US are brought in by tourists, right?
