Not obvious at all. 146 mm2 NW die is huge. The depreciation of the 2000-2001 capacity buildup binge will hit Intel like a ton of bricks. The NW fabrication suffers from low yields and throughput. The production glitches will continue well into the 2H 2002. The result -- no price war and continuing market share losses for Intel.
