8:45AM: The Producer Price Index or PPI fell 0.7% in December and the core rate fell 0.1%. Both figures were lower than the consensus numbers of -0.2% and +0.1% respectively. The inflation data are good news for the market, but investors are generally not focused on inflation right now which means this report is not likely to have much impact.

8:25AM: The pre-market tone is mixed. S&P futures at 1159, trade two points above fair value while the Nasdaq 100 pre-market indicator is lower by 3.1 points
