What is overt abuse of power is that Enron met with Cheney while he was shaping this country's response to the western "energy crisis". Our FERC refused to do their job after the head was fired and a new chair was installed that met with Ken Lay's approval. I had heard that allegation long before Enron's collapse.

Enron's demise came from "messing with the west." Enron thought they would get away with their contrived energy crisis due to the who's who in the Bush administration. Enron's poker hand was called and they ended up with a pair of deuces.( dunces I should say and one is Bush )

It will be quite telling when all is "hung out on the line".
You can still look at the insider trades that are posted in the Yahoo insider trade section.

Apparently, the books were cooked to make everyone think that all was well with the company. Andersen has alot to answer for as well. We will see first hand what can happen in these large corporations in terms of corruption. I only hope that the public takes notice and starts to get more involved with our gov't. If every citizen started to vote, then the politicians would have to pay more attention to the common, middle class individual and these large corporate mobsters would not get away with their crimes....................and there are real crimes involved with Enron. People will go to jail. Officials may have to resign..............it's going to get ugly and I am going to call all my federal representatives, Senators and Congresswoman, and ask for a special prosecutor.
