I caught the last two stock opinions on an interview on CNBC this afternoon in which the interviewed guest (who I assume is a hedge fund type because he was soooo proud of his hitech short positions) trashed America Online and Iomega. He called AOL the "Apple Computer of the online services" (with which I tend to agree) and then went on to finish by saying that Iomega's Zip drive was a "fad" that won't last because it is not "backward compatible" and therefore would be shunned by OEM companies. How much does this lack of "backward compatibility" mean? I'd like to understand the whole picture as a holder of IQGGE calls!
