Cool thanks for the tip. In the wave principal by Prechter and Frost they recommend using hourly line charts for longer counts. Many of the counts pictured there are lines. When Elliot developed his theory there werent any candlestick charts (except maybe in Japan) or even 5 minute charts. Also I belive the presence of so many daytraders and program traders have made the market more volatile and prone to whipsaws and stop running extremes in the last 20 years. IMO its better to filter out some of the noise.
