Why not put the AOL question firmly behind you. Sign up with an ISP that gives you a free trial, even if it's only for a day. Then try connecting with the Streamer sans AOL. If it's still a no go, it wouldn't hurt to reinstall IE before giving up on the AOLess solution.

There are ISPs that only charge $10 per month. I use one for a backup and it has been good when I've used it. That's only one Datek commission.
