Constantine, Re: "you guys make it sound like AMD is some puny company with no resources. They employ thousands of people, have revenues in the $billions and are known worldwide as a leader in tech."

Look at AMD's assets, and compare them to Intel's. I'm not talking about cash, either. Intel has tons of office space, tons of factories, and tons of property. Look at Intel's business and strategic relationships. Look at Intel's cost structure, their corporate culture, their methods and experience - Intel has been a large company for a long time, and they're optimized to handle things that a large company needs to handle, from hiring and training new employees, to handling problems with pollution, problems with local politics, handling philanthropic events, and legal issues. You simply don't get market share and hire more people, and *presto*, you have a big company. It's an ongoing process, and Intel is well established. AMD is pushing their market share gains without growing as a company. It's simply not sustainable.
