nspolar & Thread/OT. Elite/Press axis will continue to cover for eachother. as the full scope of the Enron mess continues to emerge. I've no doubt they'll have little difficulty preventing any more than a small fraction of the actual level of official corruption, complicity, and massive criminal activity in both political parties as well as on Wall Street from ever coming to light. They know it would destabilize the entire country if it did. Instead, expect the same pattern that was followed during the Clinton years ala very dramatic exposure of relatively minor wrong doing like Monicagate and Whitewater. Beauty of this strategy is that it capitalizes upon media air time and press copy to divert public scrutiny away from the real horror stories of wrong doing by various segments of the American financial and political elite. Remember Clinton's real crimes, such as intentionally leaving our nuclear research facilities wide open to Chinese infiltration and espionage; as well as allowing the transfer of long range nuclear MIRV targeting technology to the Chinese at the same time they were making huge donations to Clinton's campaigns and the Democratic Party were swept under the rug. Meanwhile the diversion of how and when the Pres was getting blow jobs was made into a public circus while multiple instances of treason in exchange for cash was buried beneath the prurient titillation. You know an elite is hiding something very important, when they use sex or religion to keep the public diverted and/or entertained. Let's fact it, there's hardly a dimes worth of difference between the two major political parties and third parties are always crushed in a relatively short time to protect the elites political power franchise. For example, Bush was protecting Clinton secrets as well as his own administrations when he recently ordered concealment of that massive collection of important and most likely incriminating documents. KEY #1 is this, folks. The elite stick together when the the big $$$ and institutional power is at risk. Only the most superficial subject matter and minor dust ups get into the media for web thread and water cooler arguments<g> KEY #2 is don't get angry at such things. IMHO, such anger is nothing more than residual naivete fueled by a false of betrayal. Think we all have to unplug from the matrix of conditioning commonly used by the elite which rules every society. And not be manipulated through our emotions by same. We see those ploys every day in the markets as WS manipulates and stampedes the clown dogs we see posting on most web threads into another futile round of chasing their tails.<lol> After coming to the above realizations some years ago and letting go of my anger? Began to realize what a giant comedic circus the whole spectacle really is. Now I laugh like hell at least several times a day.<G> Human societies have functioned throughout history at the behest of a more or less predatory elite.
