First you have the profit issue wrong. In these times cash flow is very important. Cash flow has been, and continues to be, extremely strong. Check it out and you will be surprised about the company's free cash flow from operations. One way to check it out is to look at the bank account and short term liquid investments. The increase in net liquid assets has been remarkable. We can debate the profit issue if you wish, but any rational person would agree that Cisco has one of the most enviable financial positions and results from operations of any company on the planet. They have had a lot of non-cash expenses on the income statement such as depreciation and the amortization of goodwill that was accumulated after the implementation of the new FASB rules. But again, cash flow from operations has been not only positive, but actually very strong.

Second, your timing is wrong and clearly in direct conflict with the research that Briefing.com did . I refer you to their article dated today, January 11 and released at 07:57:00 AM ET. It is located on the Microsoft Investor web site under Cisco news. In that article they refer to the article that was done by Barron's as being done about "six months ago" (not possible in 2000 as you state since that is now over 12 months ago).

All else aside, I personally believe that Cisco has a bright future. I hope this has helped.

Jeff
