George, what is exactly Ford doing? They are slashing worldwide capacity by 1 MM car/year. What is the average yearly car demand per year worldwide, my guess 50 MM, what is the current car production capacity? about 80 MM. What was last year's chip shipment? About $150 B, what is the chip industry capacity? I would guess currently about $230/50 B. The same goes for agricultural and basic commodities, worldwide overcapacity (I have been singing this song since that post to you in April of 2000), inflation is not a danger until capacity readjustment or major increase in demand occurs. Neither seems to be on the map. That excess money, will partially go to "Money heaven" (by the process of major market corrections) and what is left may cause inflation in paper assets, not in product assets.
