biggest risk to economy is Greensperm
it might take a few years for economic historians to conclude
that GreenEye is totally off the chart in his extremes
too tight when not needed
too easy when gets into trouble
too bad Enron boys were not connected to NYCity
they would likely have been baled out by Federal Reserve
what was it in 1998?
LongTerm Cap Mgmt is too big to fail
must mean Enron was not big enough to bale out

glad to see Cisco Chambers on cover of Business Week
about time more scrutiny put to their accounting
and the value of their stock built on such shoddy accounting
funny how CSCO fell in mktcap a great deal more than Enron
but nobody looks to Cisco for chicanery
they have steadily overpaid for acquisitions and steadily avoid writeoffs for absurd goodwill
golly, CSCO trading near 20 is a real funny joke
that stock is so deep in trouble still
heavy competition, obsolete technology, bloated goodwill acquisitions, hidden business risk via accounting
I say CSCO is worth about $5 per share, maybe $6

I want to see Congress tighten GAAP rules and SEC enforcement
"Offbook" items should be deemed simply illegal

I love the NFL playoffs annually
almost as exciting as the college bowls
but with much more certainty of a champeen
go Steelers
I went to check on Jerome Bettis' groin
but he told me to take my hand off his leg
go Big Bus
