You wrote war has become obsolete because it is suicide for the human race.

I'm not sure what world you're living in, but it's not the one I'm living in. I don't know how many wars are right now being fought around the globe, but it's a bunch. It would be nice to think war could ever become obsolete, and when I was quite young I truly believed in that as a goal. But while the reduction of war is still a realistic and vital goal, the elimination of it is not, and IMO will never become so. There will always be some leader, some country, which wants things it can't get except by war, and which thinks war is a reasonable way of getting them.

There has never been a civilized nation on earth which didn't rely on force in some form or other to remain civilized.
