That website is really interesting. Having grown up on a farm in the rural midwest, I checked my home county to see how much in the way of subsidies my old neighbors were now getting. Some of them were huge. Of course these were farmers who over the years have steadily bought up large tracts of crop land so they are businessmen as much as they are farmers. Still, very interesting to see how many millions of dollars the government is pouring into their pockets. Something is not right. Farming should be a profitable business, and no government tax money should go into it. Likewise, other big corporations should function just fine without tax dollars pouring into their coffers...
