Hi Frank, I'm still here. I'd forgotten all about the profile. I've updated it. I've shifted some of those spec profits into blue chips. I want an income stream that can be depended on now that I'm greyer.
EMA, BNN.A, TRP have treated me very well. If anyone got in close to the lows, the return on capital is terrific compred to today's rates. People were dumping TRP at ten dollars even though it was paying 8%. I've shifted over to a number of the trusts, then had to average down but the return is still good given what you can get from the banks or from GICs. 10-12.5% looks very good from the well managed, conservative ones.
That doesn't mean I've stopped following the diamond stocks. I've sold off my trading shares in ABZ but hold my core position. Using the standard chart in The Gold Book re price behaviour from exploration to bldg a mine to start up, I would hope to sell ABZ around the time of start up. Of course, any number of events may intervene.
I made some money on rdm, then bought it back and am waiting on results. I'm not expecting a home run but a trade with a reasonable return.
Sold my DSP at 2.14. Been watching ever since. Still hold a lot of TYS. People forget that DSP took half of a TYS property and ABZ took half. It's a waiting game. The lack of action on DSP has been disappointing. However, I expect RT has learned not to waste his dollars. Too many diamond explorers have gone bankrupt since this all started and raising money has become harder and harder.
Twin is interesting but, again, I think I'll wait and watch for a bit. Those who have been doing this since the beginning have a lot of scars. All that money poured into drilling in Ontario. Lots of promise since those diamonds were found by panning. But still no strong results. All that money that went into Alberta. The James Bay lowlands have used up fortunes. Lots of micros but... Then there was all the millions we were going to make in Brazil. Still waiting.
I hope some of you made a bundle on ACA.
I'll take a look at the charts but just from the price action lately, I'd think that DML's chart is more impressive than most but I'm not recommending it. Not sure whatis going on there. |
