limtex: For major areas of this wide and wonderful country there is no practical access to DSL or cable - due to both distance from the "node" and failure of the "providers" to go all out to serve their potential customers. A fact. So there is IMO a huge market waiting for whosoever can bridge the last mile to those folks hungry for access at speeds beyond dial up. 1x begins to bridge that divide. 1x-DO does that in spades. (And even where DSL or cable do exist, the advantages of 1x-DO are huge for data - which really means multimedia). All that and mobility too. Neither DSL nor cable provide that. The main line telecoms may have a wake up call yet, and starting next summer we shall see. The real sleepers are those who will bring CDMA 1x-DO to the home using the likes of Com Dev as suppliers on non tradition telecoms. That will be when the real fun begins. Best. Cha2
