you sir are correct.I originate from Philadelphia and even when he was playing at Widener the Philadephia papers were writing articles about this amazing little guy at Widener College.Widener was smaller then and had several little campuses. But if my memory serves me correctly they played their home games near or within Chester Pennsylvania. It was a great decision on the part of Houston to give this kid a chance, the Philadelphia Eagles could have cared less even though his stats at Widener were how do you say "mind-blowing".
Just grabbed this off of the web from some grads web-page--
<<WIDENER COLLEGE

If you've actually heard of Widener College, then you wonder why I don't call it Widener University. That's easy: It got big AFTER I left there. Since then, they bought a law school, and did a bunch of other stuff that I haven't kept track of. Today, I get lost reading the organzation charts in the alumni magazines.

Widener has four well-known alumni:

Burtin Mustin
Cecil B. DeMille
Billy "White Shoes" Johnson
Phil Martelli

This page is printed in the college's colors. I don't think I have the gold right. I'm still working on it. Please be patient.

I almost didn't go to Widener College. Up until the year I entered, Widener was a military college. It's real name was Pennsylvania Military College. 1972 was not a good year to be a boy turning 18. They had a civilian affiliate sharing the same campus called Penn Morton College. (Get it? PMC??) When they announced the de-emphasis of the military, and the name change, I decided it would be safe to go there.

(Of course the dormitory rooms were converted military barracks.)>> p.s. i see schools primary campus is now in Wilmington Delaware(Widener family--an old rich family from Philadelphia has been it's backer)--Max
